Sinopsis

Inga Jinicuil Schild. Multipurpose Tree

This book presents a comprehensive review of a multipurpose tree, Inga jinicuil, and represents a basic reference for the knowledge of the plant. It is suitable for students, agronomists, technical foresters and ecologists. This contribution familiarizes us, starting from the most complete morphology, with the ecosystem services that this species provides us. The book is illustrated with excellent images in color, especially anatomical and leaf morphology.

The work makes an easy reading academic review, in which data of the experiments carried out in germination and propagation of the species is exposed. With the current concerns of climate change and the reduction of gases in the atmosphere, the authors propose Inga jinicuil as a good species of environmental value as well as suitable for recovering areas degraded by erosion and poor land management.

It is a pleasure to recommend this book which is a compendium of research and information gathering carried out for several years by both authors, they have the practical and academic experience with their works in Mexico and Venezuela.
